Adams Lectures 2023: The Priority of the Gospel

Dr. Stephen Rummage delivers an expository message on 1 Corinthians 5:1-11, using illustration principles from Tuesday’s lecture. He explains how this passage establishes the priority of proclaiming, receiving, and embracing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus died, he was not a martyr dying for a cause; he was a savior dying for your sins.

Dr. Stephen Rummage is the Senior Pastor of Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Rummage holds the M.Div. with a specialization in biblical languages from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and completed the Ph.D. in preaching at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Before moving to Oklahoma, Dr. Rummage pastored churches in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Louisiana.  He has served on the faculties of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and currently serves on the faculty of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of several books and the founder of Moving Forward, a radio teaching ministry which airs daily nationwide. He and his wife, Michele, have one son, Joshua, who along with his wife, Morgan, resides in Florida.
